Ellen Pompeo Bio The bright-eyed Pompeo was born on November 10, 1969 in Everett, Massachusetts (a suburb of Boston). Relatively speaking, Ellen established herself in acting late, making her major television debut at the age of 26 on an episode of Law & Order. Three years later, two short films bookended her first appearance on film, where she was cast in a small role in the coming-of-age movie Coming Soon. In 2000, Pompeo saw a dramatic jump in her face-time on camera as she headlined with Molly Ringwald in the comedy In the Weeds. Two years later, Pompeo really made a name for herself as she, surrounded by stars Dustin Hoffman and Susan Sarandon, churned out her best performance yet in the romantic drama Moonlight Mile. Many thought she should have been nominated for an Oscar for her career-defining role, and she continued to knock 'em dead as Leonardo DiCaprio's lover in Catch Me if You Can and as Ben Affleck's legal assistant in Daredevil. |
